 Carroll County Cal Ripken baseball 2010 Parental Volunteer commitment Carroll County Cal Ripken is made up of four towns – Ossipee, Tamworth, Madison and Freedom. Within these towns there are many volunteers that help coach our children. Coaching is a very large commitment and not everyone has the time for this and as a league we understand this. But there is much more to the league than just the kids and the coaches. Our towns each have a representative that is responsible for each town’s teams whether there are two teams all the way up to six teams. This in itself is a large job with a large time commitment. Fortunately we have a lot of dedicated town reps as well as coaches – But there is always a need for more parents to step forward and assist their specific town with the operation of their baseball league. Along with these responsibilities are the cost associated with the operation of the league. CCCRBL has continued to operate with the lowest annual fees within our district. The need for volunteers is relative to our league costs – the absence of volunteers requires services to be purchased and these costs will drive up our annual sign-up cost. So in an attempt to keep coaches and town reps in the pipeline, to keep cost as low as possible and to provide quality safety equipment and uniforms we need your help. We understand that not everyone has time to volunteer every week but if all parents make the commitment to assist, the kids will have all that they need. Below is a list of activities that we as a league / town need assistance with and we are requiring parents to sign up for. ➢ Coaching & assistant coaching – all levels ➢ Field upkeep ➢ Opening day activities & Year end cookout ➢ Town specific snack shack operation ➢ Fund raising ➢ Umpiring – home plate (experience required) ➢ Umpiring – base / field umpire ( some knowledge required ) Please circle what activities you will be able to assist with and write your contact information at the top.
